Lady Liberty Votes

lady liberty votesTraditionally, New York doesn’t play an exciting part in presidential elections. The Democrats have won the state in the last seven elections, and this kind of predictability isn’t really all that interesting.

Hillary Clinton served as the state’s senator. Donald Trump built his business empire here. Bernie Sanders was born in Brooklyn. And former mayor Michael Bloomberg is rumored to explore an independent run.

So how do New Yorkers feel about the 2016 election?

Are they rooting for a local candidate, or are they looking elsewhere? Does it help Trump and Clinton that people here know them, or does it work to their disadvantage?

And is New York really so blue as it always seems?

Read all about it in Lady Liberty Votes – the presidential election blog for New York City.
